Authentic Assessments to IEP Development & Implementation
Thursday October 10, 2024 9:05am - 10:35am HST
Play is a critical medium for assessing, teaching, and providing intervention to preschool learners. In this session, participants will learn about different types of play and how to match these types of play to specific leaning styles. Emphasis will be placed on preschool learners who are neurodiverse, and or served through an IEP. Participants will gain skills to use as they facilitate play for a variety of reasons within an early childhood classroom. Next, participants will see how this type of instruction and intervention can be used to guide IEP goals and plan for support to students throughout the routines of the preschool day.
